We are flying at 10.20am, from Heathrow to Milan - I am so worried Strom Dennis is going to kibosh it.

Anyone else?

My DC are both due to fly out on a school ski trip tomorrow afternoon, have been checking the weather reports as I'm concerned they will get delayed or cancelled.

NCTDN · 15/02/2020 15:10

I know the feeling.

GaraMedouar · 15/02/2020 15:12

Yes Sad - I am checking every 15 min!

GaraMedouar · 15/02/2020 15:12

I don’t know if they’d be just delayed or totally cancelled.

Iamblossom · 15/02/2020 15:30

Cancelled would be a nightmare

Delayed two hours so far..

Yes we’re supposed to be flying to Malaga from Manchester this afternoon. It’s showing as scheduled and the early flights seem to be getting away.

Hope you’re only a bit delayed OP.

Littlepic · 16/02/2020 06:20

EasyJet have already cancelled our flight from Bournemouth. We're making a mad dash to Birmingham to catch a KLM flight via Amsterdam to Geneva! Flights leaving Birmingham so far, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 16/02/2020 06:22

Oh goodness, Littlepic! At least there shouldn’t be much traffic on the road. Hope you get there in time.

Littlepic · 16/02/2020 06:28

I'm not impressed with EasyJet, we only knew it was cancelled thanks to checking following reports in the media, their website has been crashed since yesterday morning and no one is answering the phone either! We've had to spend a lot of money on another flight and now just crossing our fingers!

madeyemoodysmum · 16/02/2020 06:32

We took of yesterday after a hour delay and it was windy. That was Gatwick. Hope you all get there!

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 16/02/2020 06:34

That’s terrible! We’re with Ryanair who don’t seem to have cancelled anything, but I’m stalking the departure boards every 15 mins.

Littlepic · 16/02/2020 06:40

We are nearing the airport, EasyJet seem to be the only airline which has cancelled lots of flights! Hope you all arrive safely.

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 16/02/2020 06:40

Good! Have a lovely holiday.

Iamblossom · 16/02/2020 07:55

Flight was delayed by 2 hours then went back to original time so thank god we didn't just go back to bed! Now saying delayed, but time shows its original departure time, so God knows. We are nearly at Heathrow so will just have to see what happens. God like travel day isn't stressful enough.

Good luck iamblossom. We are in departures having breakfast. Flight still scheduled to leave on time!

NCTDN · 16/02/2020 10:14

Good luck everyone. Our flight from Manchester was fine but the rep has said that lots of flights down south were diverted to Southend.

Littlepic · 16/02/2020 10:24

Landed in Amsterdam! One more flight onto Geneva!

Bombaybunty · 16/02/2020 10:29

Easyjet cancelled our flights to Seville. Should've been in the air now.

At least we're home to deal with the leaking roof. Thanks Dennis Angry.

Iamblossom · 16/02/2020 17:06

Our flight was cancelled

Queued for hours to rebook

Now driving through stressful London to the travelodge of London City Airport.

Have had to change return flight too.

Total nightmare

Sorry to hear that OP. Hope you get there ok and have a great holiday.. once you are on the slopes it will just be a distant memory

Littlepic · 16/02/2020 17:34

Sorry to hear that IamBlossom. We've made it to Geneva and now on route to resort. It's been a very long day!

ChequerBoard · 16/02/2020 17:41

Kids got away safely from Stansted Airport, airborne now.

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 17/02/2020 11:55

We were held on the tarmac for about an hour and a half at Manchester, but the flight was fine.

After a nightmare at Manchester with a ridiculously slow bag drop and security being absolutely terrible (massive backlog of bags to be hand checked, with staff wandering about and being really, really unhelpful and obstructive), our arrival at Malaga was a dream. Currently sitting in the sunshine with hailstorms a distant memory.

So sorry to hear you didn’t get away OP.
