Les Arcs 1950

We're having a family ski holiday in Les Arcs 1950 over half term. Never been before. Wondering what the score with the ski schools - hours quite different from Austria, our usual destination. Has anyone used Evolution 2 or ESF and did your children make English friends, and did the instructors speak English? What do people generally do - 9-11am or 11-1pm?? Any general advice much appreciated.

We’ve used Evolution 2 in Val D’Isere and Val Thorens. Both times were in term time so not busy and only 1 or 2 other English speaking children but they seemed happy enough - they all want to go again! We had morning classes (9.30 -12.30 from memory) so we could ski together after lunch.

Thank you NumberMonkey. Our girls have never had English-speaking kids in ski school, but they keep asking! We've taken them out of school every year so far, but this time going in half term - senior school etc...

We loved Les Arcs 1950!

My daughter (aged 13 at the time)! and I had a daily private lesson with JP at AIM ski school - I would totally recommend

I think it was a 3 hour lesson, and JP is from Watford so the lesson was in English 😊

Book it asap. Demand in February half term is high , especially for English speaking groups. You may find there is little choice.
