Skiing as a single person but not looking for that kind of "singles" holiday

None of my friends are up for skiing and DH really doesn't enjoy it that much either … has anyone joined a group holiday as a "single" person? I'm scared that I might end up on a group holiday with others who are looking for the chance of romance! I just want to ski with fun and likeminded people - any recommendations gratefully accepted!

Hi there, I've not travelled with them but in a similar situation was recommended Colletts ski holidays on here as they offer guided skiing and sound quite convivial. Or I've looked at ski miguel again not been with them but looks as if it might be good on your own.

If you're thinking of going for a long weekend rather than full week, you could try www.skiweekender.com and stay at their chalet lodge - most people might be in groups but I think the guides might be able to match you up with others.

Thanks rookiemere, appreciate those pointers! Can’t imagine I’m the only one in this position - it’s just finding the others....

I've been on catered chalet holidays where there has been a single person present. As the whole chalet eats together in the evening it is pretty social. There's a fair chance of joining up with the other guests to ski. Or otherwise the chalet hosts (or the ski company) usually offer ski guiding. The difficulty is finding a chalet with single rooms - try Le Ski or SkiBeat

Hi. I have started a company that covers this. We put together groups of mums and dads to go skiing together in groups. If you want more info give me a shout. Next trip end of Feb to Italy!

I’d love more details of your company please!

Look on the snow heads forum they do a few group “bashes” and I’ve seen single people go along.

Ski Club of Great Britain offer skiing holidays for singles, but you have to join the club.

I have gone on several skiing holidays on my own. Just booked a package through Ingham or Crystal. Have done both self catering and half board.

There's nothing to it, really. I love skiing and I won't be deterred by the fact that I don't always have someone to go with.

I went on a Cold Fusion holiday. I was single at the time but it was very much a solo holiday as opposed to a singles holiday.

It was brilliant. It was many years ago now (about 12 years) but they are still around. They have a few more chalets now.
