Andorra March too late??

Hi!
Booking holiday for family of first time skiing (2adults and 2 children)- driving myself mad with all the options. Is March 08th for one week in Soldeu, Andorra too late in the season for good snow conditions? Would I be better choosing a different location or maybe going a little earlier - can go 01st March but make life a little more difficult??

I dont think that date would be too late at all as the resort is quite high up. Generally anything above 1, 500M is a safe bet.
Resorts normally stay open until mid of April then some of the really high ones are still open until end of April. I have been skiing in May before!

Where are you staying op?

I’ve skied there before in March. It was fine, a bit slushy from lunchtime onwards though as the sun was quite strong. 😎

Booked Arinsal for week 23rd February after, getting worried though as forecast is warm and sunny with very little snow!

I've been to Arinsal before in mid March and the first week of April. Conditions were best in April as there was a late dump of snow. We went again this year, got back 2 weeks ago, and though there wasn't much fresh snow, the snow cannons had done a good job and the pistes were well maintained and in good condition.

If you're in Soldeu, your Grandvalira lift pass will give you access to Arcalis which is well worth a visit. It's higher and north facing and has the best snow in Andorra.

I'm trying to persuade DP that we need another week out there this season! Have a fab time!
