Fashionable but "cheap" skiwear

I'm looking for a new jacket and possibly salopettes too.
I know the sales are on but can't find what I like for less than £100 (which I don't want to pay!).

Brightly coloured quilted ski jacket with all the pockets/zips!!

Where to start looking?! I'm looking on eBay too but nothing so far?!
Thank you!!

OhCobblers · 19/01/2020 12:14

Trying to steer clear of decathlon as very samey!
Tk Maxx never have my size but I'm still keeping an eye on their website. Which brands should I be looking for? Thanks

Aldi do a ski week in the aisle of doom. Very good stuff

iloveredwine · 19/01/2020 15:05

Aldi do brilliant ski stuff. Kitted out kids for school ski stuff and us for family holiday

LoonyLunaLoo · 19/01/2020 15:06

Dare 2 be do nice bright clothing and they always have offers on.

AFistfulofDolores1 · 19/01/2020 15:08

Blue Tomato

Duvetdweller · 19/01/2020 15:08

I’m a seasoned skier and I think the stuff that’s in decathlon at the moment is really stylish

LIZS · 19/01/2020 15:11

Agree dare2b . Got adult dc jackets for skiing at Christmas - one £25 from Blacks , one £40 Debenhams. Coped successfully with very wet conditions and both had zipped lift pass pockets on sleeve and powder skirts which many "cheap" ones don't. Bought a pair of their salopettes from tkmaxx several years ago which have lasted well.

Not sure about their adult coats but I just bought my eldest a new ski coat from Dare2B. Refuse to spend a fortune when he is growing like a weed and it probably won't fit him next year. Haven't been skiing with it yet but it seems a pretty decent coat. Seams are taped, there's a ski pass holder and snow skirt etc. Good prices too.

Chochito · 20/01/2020 16:09

Decathlon is great.

Primark for thermals.

gastropod · 20/01/2020 16:19

Definitely Decathlon. Good value, lasts well and looks decent.
Only issue is if you are skiing in Europe you'll probably match half the other people on the slopes, also likely to be sporting Decathlon.

SunnySomer · 20/01/2020 16:26

My local Facebook selling page is rammed with ski stuff, some really nice!

TokyoSushi · 20/01/2020 16:28

Keep on at ebay, we recently got over £400 worth of stuff for just under £100!

AuntieStella · 20/01/2020 16:38

Decathlon (really good stuff)

TKMaxx (usually flogging off last season's colours at fraction of original price)

Aldi

AuntieStella · 20/01/2020 16:41

And Trespass (look for previous years colours)

Yes, you will find people in the same stuff - that's because it's good and it lasts. There will be lots of people in Decathlon stuff, but not this years colours - it'll be ranging over many years.

TeetotalKoala · 21/01/2020 16:25

I have a hot pink jacket from Trespass. It's last year's.

NearlySchoolTimeAgain · 22/01/2020 17:59

Facebook marketplace. I got two complete sets for me, salopettes for DH and a complete set for DS2 for £50. All Burton. And another £10 for some North Face salopettes for me that DS1 adopted.

DS1 & DH had new North Face coats from an outlet. They wear them year round though so still good VFM.

SkiYetiMagic · 23/01/2020 14:55

Hi. The best quality ski wear at a good price is without doubt Surfanic I always buy from there the difference in quality to other cheaper brands is very visible! They are online and i think have a sale at the moment.

goldenorbspider · 23/01/2020 14:59

eBay, Aldi and sports direct online

chocolatviennois · 23/01/2020 23:02

I also recommend Surfanic. Dare2B are also good. If anyone is looking for Kids ski wear I recommend Muddy Puddles.

OhCobblers · 24/01/2020 07:50

Fantastic thank you I'll keep looking at these!
