Canada drink ski rules

Does anyone know what the rules are in Whistler about having a beer with lunch and skiing down the mountain.... hubby concerned that a lunchtime beer will prevent afternoon skiing. Or is it just individual insurance company specifics that he needs to be concerned about?

I’ve never heard of that! Not been to Whistler but Banff and everywhere has beers at lunch or before the ski out. The slopes would be very quiet in the afternoon if that was the rule!!

There’s definitely not the same drinking (or eating) on the slope cultures as Europe - people are there to ski - but a beer or two is normal.
I ‘think’ the rules say something about not being intoxicated, and so do many insurance policies. But there’s a big difference between a beer at lunch and being unable to stand up.

Just insurance specifics. They sell beer on the mountain. Not big beer culture but people can and do have a beer with lunch
