I’m looking for the perfect accomodation in the perfect resort that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg 🥴😂!

We’ve stayed in Les Arcs and FLaine for last 3 years but want to try somewhere new this February, but with similar accomodation/facilites, large and varied ski area. All my searches through up the same properties and I can’t make a decision.

I am looking for somewhere that is driveable (flying not an option), ski in ski out, pool, carpark, nearby restaurants with a budget of upto £2400, 2 adults 3 teens.

We’re used to the Pierre vacances type self catering accomodation- Plonk Les Arcs 1950 in a different resort and that would be our ideal!

Am I asking the impossible or does anyone know of any hidden gems?

Have been looking at Tignes, but would consider any area that would keep adventurous teens happy for a week.

Thanks!

Have you tried Erna Low? They specialise in self-drive/self-catering ski holidays to France, so they could probably find something that would suit you. Would be worth giving them a ring and talking through your requirements.

And I'm pretty sure Tignes would keep three adventurous teens happy for a week, although I would probably stay in Val Claret. Arcs 1950 it ain't, but if you've been to Flaine I guess you don't mind the architecture!

Les Portes du Soleil - Morzine, Les Gets. There's loads of choice and it's driveable.

Another vote for Portes du Soleil. Main resorts are: Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz or Châtel (French side). There are also resorts on the Swiss side, but I’ve never stayed there. 650km of piste. Have a look on chaletsdirect.com for accommodation or can highly recommend alikats.eu or mountainutopia.co.uk for catered chalet.

I know you’re driving, but to give you a rough idea, it’s approx 1 hour from Geneva heading partially towards the Chamonix direction.

Avoriaz great for ski-in ski-out and massive area to ski

massistar · 13/11/2019 10:11

Avoriaz also has a great pool!

Catty99 · 16/11/2019 11:58

Was coming on to suggest Avoriaz or Châtel!
