Anyone used the train to get to Geneva? Or the snowtrain to Alps?

Prompted by crazy EasyJet prices for half term, I've looked at trains.

Can get leave London at 6am and be in Geneva by 3.3pm - fares look like being around £200 for an adult.

There is also the dedicated train for the Alps. However as we'd found some apartments we liked the look of in Les Gets I was thinking of sticking with that destination.

Any experiences? Also slightly trying to reduce flying if possible, so trying to reduce carbon and costs.

I have not but I'm also watching with interest. I think Flybe have discontinued their Easter soton to chambery route so I'm tempted to try the train. I've drive before but it's exhausting.

I'm interested in this too, looking at going to Switzerland from West country!

We have. You may have to cross Paris depending which train you get. They release some in October. If you get the overnight ski train there's no alcohol on board at all.

Under 5s can go free I think so cheaper if you have little ones.
Snowcarbon.co.uk is very very helpful.
