Last minute ski holiday: which travel agent?

I want to go skiing next week. Can only travel on Monday 15th and return on Friday 19th.

Awkward dates. And with four dcs.

Which travel agent do you think would be best able to deal with this?

Are you set on booking via an agent rather than flights, accommodation etc separately?

Any ideas on where you want to go?

If you want a chalet I’d try Much Better Adventures, I’ve found going via them more flexible with odd dates.

Oh, except I can’t see chalets on there any more.

For booking accommodation direct I usually use Powderbeds. They are always really helpful if you phone them.

I'd like an all exclusive ski in ski out resort. Hochgurgl in Austria is supposed to be good at this time of year.

Maybe Ski Solutions then? Never used them but when I've looked at their website before I've had the sense they will tailor stuff.

Leski have space in La Tania next week, not sure if those dates would work.

Ski Solutions are really good.
Put together a break for me on a fairly small budget and had a great overview of what was out there. All ran seamlessly. Highly recommend giving them a try. It was adults only but can’t see why that would make any difference. You’d just need to check ski school yourself I expect.

That's good to hear, Circe, I may yet use them!

I doubt you’ll get a ski holiday with a travel company based on your days. Package ski holidays tend to be for 7 nights and run from Sat to Sat or Sun to Sun. Chalets are 7 nights. You need a hotel (booked direct) that will do a shorter stay.

As you can only do 4 nights and travel out on a Mon I suggest you get a low cost flight to Geneva and hop on one of the mountain buses that run regularly (such as Mountain Transfers / Alpy Bus). They run to the French resorts such as Morzine, Cham, Avoriaz etc.

You can book a hotel direct.

You will get a short term chalet I’m sure if you post your requirements on chaletsdirect.com. They normally organise airport transfers, ski passes and equipment too.
