Kit for April skiing 3 valleys

We're skiing in April for the first time this year, we have all the usual kit for earlier in the season but am assuming we won't need as many thermals/baselayers for early April. Any seasoned April skiers got any tips?

It will very much depend on the weather when you are there. I was there just over a month ago and had a hot sunny week and was boiling for much of the time. However, had one cold day over in Val Thorens when I was very grateful for my fleecy neckwarmer.

It's about -4 on average in Val Thorens at the moment! I'd say the best plan is layers so you can adjust as necessary.

I usually replace the thermal top with a normal short sleeved t-shirt, and I take leggings to go under ski trousers but often find I don’t need them, gloves where you can remove the liners are also good. If you don’t get sun, it’s windy and/or if you’re right at the top of the mountain it can be freezing but if you’re lucky it can be so lovely and warm! In short, pack for all conditions.
