Anyone care to share typical Esprit chalet menu?

Dp and I are pescatarians, are we facing a week of pasta and cheese?

Not that anyone books with Esprit for the food....

We've been with VIP Ski last two years but next year we're taking the hit for dd....

I can’t remember what the veggies ate (not veggie) but I think things like stuffed peppers. It always looked ok. We all had fish once or twice.

We have had a veggie in our group and she was fine. Fish did feature but not every night. The variety for her seemed pretty good

Having worked for the company I suggest you try and speak with the UK office to give them a heads-up before your arrival if you have specific meals in mind. The chef will have to stick to a budget and meal plans (from memory) 2 weeks in advance but if s/he is aware of the situation they’ll definitely consider you.

You can always ask the chef when you get there too.

Spoke to Esprit on booking and they have us down as pescatarians (non meat eaters but eat fish).

The bigger issue is I've just been diagnosed with a wheat allergy but not sure if they can deal with that.
It isn't life threatening or anything (its eczema) so guess I can eat porridge for breakfast, avoid the teatime cakes and eat chocolate instead, eat omelette for lunch etc. And if its pasta for dinner I'll have to eat out!

If you give them a heads up they can definitely cater for both. I have a child with several allergies (4) and we’ve been on several esprit holidays, 2 when I was breastfeeding so also had to be ‘free from’ and my child hasn’t had a reaction. You’ll have to pay a surcharge to cover the specialist ingredients which I’ve always been happy to do.

They have also made free from cakes on some days for afternoon tea but my little prefers to have the individually wrapped Mrs crimbles madeleines or Sainsbury’s ff choc brownies that I take along.

The menus will differ depending on resort, chalet, host experience, when you go etc. We have experienced the good and the bad. Typically Menus at the end if the season are pretty poor as they use up what is left in the store.

Esprit made me gluten free meals last year with no issues, apart from a extra supplement. More or less had what everyone else did, but with gf sausages, bread and cake.

I skiied with esprit for 11 years with dh being vegetarian and best friend coeliac. They always catered for them well. Can't remember what they ate but they never moaned. Friend got gluten free cakes made. Though one chalet girl lied once and said cake was gf and it wasn't. He went in the kitchen and demanded to see the gf flour and they admitted they'd run out and hoped he wouldn't notice!
