Whistler in April

We’re looking to go to Whistler for 10 nights in early April - just wondered whether anyone had any tips they’d be able to share? Are there any areas better for slope access? (Is there ski-in/out there)??

We went two years ago but in January. There are plenty ski in ski out, we were in an apartment in Blackcomb Springs Suites. It was 100 mtr walk from the ski storage to the slopes and you skied down 100 mtr to the tow. The food was disappointing, burgers and that sort of stuff. The journey for me was the worst. I wouldn’t go again unless I was travelling first class and that is unlikely to happen. Saying that we had fabulous skiing and beautiful scenery.

It was quite slushy by April last year, arrived on the 1st. Could just about ski to the resort (main village whistler cable car) but it was dodgy by our last day (3rd). It was already 10 degrees during the day so not ideal and many slopes closed that weekend apparently as it went onto spring season.

Ps Hilton was great, but pricey, I wasn't paying the bill, work was.

Nita lake lodge is excellent if you're looking for somewhere to stay. We've stayed in wonderful hotels all over the world and to this day it stands out; the location over the lake is beautiful all year round

Love Legends in Creekside. Bang next to the lifts, quieter than the village, but cost effective for 4/5 star place.

LOVE whistler.
