Borovets and snowboarding - anyone been?

I am going for 4 days to Borovets with son (13) - he wants snowboarding lessons and I want to learn to ski. But what happens after the lessons - will we be on the same area, or do snowboarders and skiers have separate slopes? So we could end up not seeing each other? Thanks all - not done this before & no idea how it works.

All skiers and boarders use the same slopes, you’ll probably on the green slopes to start with. Lessons usually morning or afternoon each day.

Thank you Alibaba.
As for lessons - are they held on the slopes? or in a "contained" part of the slopes? I know nothing about this!

I don’t know that resort, but when you book lessons with a school, many schools do separate ski and boarding lessons. They will either advertise on their website or you can email them to ask if they have beginners ski and snowboard lessons that start and finish at the same time and same place (usually an easy to spot meeting place at the beginners slopes). Ski runs are colour graded by difficulty- green being easiest then blue then red then black. Most resorts also have a dedicated beginners slope that has a “magic carpet” - kind of like a very slow moving walkway like you get in an airport- that you shuffle on and off that takes you slowly up a gentle hill. You would maybe start there ( means you get a try without having to learn to get on a chairlift or button tow) and then progress to greens. A good ski school/ instructor will know the best easy green runs to build confidence . Main thing to check out is lessons easy to get to as a beginner and that start and finish at same time/ place for you and your son. Hope that helps!

It think it can depend who you book your lessons with. The big ski school tends to just find a spot at the bottom of the runs that come into the village and you start off there. You will probably be able to see each other. I didn't see the others doing this. Do you know who your lessons are with?
