Does anyone know Val di Fassa in the Dolomites?

Wondering how many cruises blues I might find there? Dh still quite a nervous skier and I don’t want to put him off skiing by it being too restrictive for him.

I've been! It's ok, not huge. Do you have to go to the dolomites? I could suggest better places in the Alps.

Thanks joopy. Feel free to suggest other places! Will be going in feb half term so trying to find somewhere not toooooo busy or expensive but open to pretty much anything!

How about Pila (Alps) not too far from Turin, not huge but enough runs to keep you busy.

Thanks will take a look!!

If you want to save money you could stay in the town and walk to the cable car in the morning, if you want an amazing hotel up in Pila i could recommend one but it's pricey.

Pls do recommend the hotel joopy! Thank you! I did look at the resort- dh is worried there are far more reds than blues and that overall it might be too hard for him? What is your view on that?

Hotel la chance is lovely but pricey.
Has your husband skied before? There are more reds but some of the reds are very easy so he'd be able to do them by the end of the week.

Thethingswedoforlove · 02/05/2018 22:43

Thanks. We are a bit nervous of red runs so ideally looking for somewhere with lots of blues. He has skied before but lacks lots of confidence - to be honest as do I. I will check out that hotel. Thank you!

Montgenevre is an hour from Turin airport and has loads of easy blues and decent reds. Totally recommend it for cruisy skiing.

We stayed at Mmv apartments - pricey for feb half term but not ridiculously so.

Thanks rookie mere. I will take a look

Dolomites are beautiful. More stunning even than the alps. But you do need to be able to do a combo of blues and reds to get about.
