2 year old is with nursery/childcare at esprit ski for a week. big brothers are skiing in the morning then joining her.

she has a debenhams puffer jacket - not a particularly warm one. we have been in the med over winter so no real cold weather clothes.

What do i need to buy? proper ski outfit? not sure how much they'll be outside...

The nannies will take the little ones out to play in the snow. I’d get her something like this if you can find one in stock: www.polarnopyret.co.uk/overall-60239862-405

My DD had one which lasted her a few years.

I’ve just come back from skiing with an 8 month old but she was in the kids club with kids up to 4 years old. Definitely get the 2 year old a proper snowsuit and snow boots as they’ll go for lots of snow play. Plus they will go for other outings that will involve walking/being in the buggy outside in the cold. Underneath just regular clothes like they’d wear to nursery/around the house. Nothing too hot as the crèches inside can be pretty warm. Hope that helps!

Perfect, thank you! I've got a day in London on the way ... think I'll be buying snow shoes for 3 kids plus me ! I can judge clothes online but we've all got awkward feet ....

Good luck! If you have a decathlon near you they can be pretty good for cheap kids boots.

LIZS · 08/03/2018 16:49

Second decathlon. Also try Little Trekkers and Snow and Rock for online reductions.

I second the advice above. Look for Polarn o Pyret or Kozi Kids for 2 great brands. Have a look on ebay

I like the columbia ski clothes for kids that have a zip all the way round the inside of the legs for easy nappy changes. You can get them quite cheaply on eBay.

Go to decathlon. Onsies are great if they're not toilet trained, if they are then just DON'T, mittens should have elastic for around the wrists, she'll need sunglasses, again with elastic around the head.

I'd also get some decent socks and thermal underwear. It's miserable when they're cold and the basic Decathlon stuff is cheap as chips and works well.

Mountain warehouse usually have good deals.

Name everything

Be prepared to not come home with everything

Inside they don't really need clothes but some slippers and thermals (leggings/top) zip up jumper or top

Same for older ones :)
