DS and DH want to go skiing next week. All a bit last minute!

Europe is so expensive, so they're looking at a few days in Scotland. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? I know it will be very cold!

I don't, but there's a lot of enthusiastic Scotland threads on Snowheads. Think this one's the latest on the snow situation. There will definitely be someone over there who'll be able to advise though.

Also went here www.cairngormmountain.org/ I like Aviemore but we never stayed just used to do a day trip and drive home but I am told It does have a good evening/apres ski buzz.

I’d recommend aviemore as well, it’s a proper snow sports town. Snow cover on Cairngorm is great at the moment!

Just found a detailed discussion on the resorts rather than the snow - hope it's of some use.

Stay in aviemore or surrounding villages. Cairngorm has great cover at the moment. All lifts open (depending on wind) so even though car parks are filling up early the queues aren't too bad at all.

The conditions at the Lecht are looking great. It's very family friendy too.
