Weather in 3 Valleys

We're off to 3V in a few weeks. For the last dozen or so years, we've always skiied the Southern Alps, where the snow has been fab, but so has the weather. In all those years, I think we've only ever had one or two cloudy days/whiteouts.
I know that this year is a particularly good one for snow (or bad, depending how you look at it) in the Northern Alps, but every webcam I've looked at in the past month or so has looked pretty grim. How optimistic can I be that we might be able to ski in some sunshine?
I'm not asking for a crystal ball (I don't think!) but in a typical year, is that a reasonable hope? Or will I just have to head to the nearest cafe for a vin chaud if it's too unpleasant up the top?

We are going to Les Arcs in a few weeks - and we ski in 3v/les Arcs every year
It's pretty heavy everywhere in Europe atm!! Friends have just been to Austria and the lifts were all closed for two days!
On the plus side, 3v (and Les Arcs) are VERY good at clearing roads and piste bashing after a heavy dump of snow, however nothing you can do about a severe white out and high winds..
In 3v you can go lower, so there's a good chance some slopes will be open even if it's closed at the top of valT!
Otherwise it just comes down to luck, but you can still go ice skating, swimming, snowman building and sledging etc!

I go at the same time every year, which is in a few weeks. We always have sun, but it can also snow and be windy. I'm usually in the northern area

Thanks. I guess we've been spoilt, weather-wise, but I'm nonetheless looking forward to skiing the 3Vs.

Don't get me wrong, it's mainly sunny! Sorry, I wasn't being clear. It can be anything, but usually good.
