ski famille, les gets, this year were excellent in every way. lovely chalet, fab food, both nannies were really compentent, sensible and genuine people who really seemed to enjoy the kids, and the other staff were all very impressive. my 3 year old spent most of each day with the nannies - this hadn't been my intention but she was so happy with them it seemed cruel not to let her!!!! my 7 year old had lessons and skiied with us some of the day and spent the rest of the time with the nannies - again very happily. we didn't know any of the other 4 families in the chalet but we all got on v well. needless to say, it was the most expensive holiday we've ever had, but in many ways, the best too.

We want to avoid disastrous esprit experience and would also like ideas of other companies to try next season thanks.

Ski Scott Dunn - AMAZING! not cheap option but better if go outside school holidays. Fabulous srvice, food, childcare - just so child and family friendly. Car seats on the bus, really good food for children, ferry you around whereever you want to go. i could go on for hours

Been with Scott dunn twice, both excellent, both on last min deals! Thet are worth a last min call if you can afford to book late.

took my son (then 2) on ski trip about 18mths ago. shared chalet with friends with no kids. tiny rooms, no communal space he could play in without disturbing other guests. still have not got over the trauma of it all! we simply didn't spend enough money - you just have to pay through the nose to get a bit of extra space and sanity. and go with people who understand that 2 yr olds get up at 6 am even if they were in the bar till 4!
