Thinking of going to Val d'Isere mid-December for a week skiing. What is your view on snow availability this early in the season? Any recommendations for a chalet/hotel with a pool/hot tub that sleeps 10?

Val d'Isere is one of the most snow-sure resorts in the French Alps. Have been there in early-mid December a few times and always been plenty. Perhaps you won't find extensive powder but there's always enough open to keep everyone amused.

Excellent choice for early season. Have you looked at yse?

I've stayed in a chalet with a hot-tub in Val d'Isere with Le Ski. Can't remember how many it accommodated though.

Thank you so much for the replies. I'll try and find a chalet in this case. What is yse welshweasel?

In case welshweasel doesn't see your message, YSE is the name of a company that does chalet holidays in Val d'Isere link here
