Just booked a week in Val d'Isere. We're driving there at the end of March next year.
Is there anyone who's been there could advise where to hire skis from and buy lift passes please?

Have a look on www.snowell.com I've used them and skiset in lots of resorts. Cross reference the shops on Google maps with where you stay.

I have preordered out tignes/val lift passes online, just google it.

We used Snowell I think when we went, and chose the ones from Snowberry We were staying at the Esprit Chalet Hotel so DH and I would leave the skis and boots at the shop and walk across from the chalet (5-10 mins) - we would normally ski down to La Daille as I preferred to come down that way, then would jump on the ski bus that drops you near enough outside Snowberry.
