Ski gear for small 4 yr old....

Struggling to find gear small enough...have tried the usual (Decathalon, Snow and rock, TKMaxx etc)....can anyone recommend any:

• goggles - can only find either size 3-8 which is far too big for dd's face or age 2-3 which was too small.

• trousers - not keen on salopettes style as can see dd struggling to get everything off every time she need some the loo - am I alone in thinking it's madness to put young kids in all in ones??

• mittens - age 4 is too big but age 3 is a bit tight to get on past the wrist opening...

Haven't even tried on jackets, ski socks or snow boots yet but expecting similar issues...

No wonder I'm still wearing kids ski gear at 43!!

Most children who start that young do so with parents or with an individual instructor and only go for an hour or so at a time so the loo thing is not important. So the salopette issue should not arise. I don't think you can expect a four year old to cope on their own with all that kit.

Rest of the time is spent on sledges, messing around in the snow which is much more fun at that age.

Boden ski jacket here. EBay for trousers and Aldi special buy for goggles and mittens!

Thanks all. Tried Lidl and Aldi today but no ski gear at all for younger kids, will keep trying. The branches are quite small though.

Trying to avoid buying lots online that I'll have to return by post. Had some luck randomly in Decathalon today though, they had a lot more in store than online and than a couple of weeks ago.
Found salopettes that have removable straps and smaller goggles. Dd hates being taken to the toilet by anyone other than us, prefers to go by herself so want it to be easy for her.

Am hoping will get a bit easier when she's older!

All the French kids (and they seem very diddy to me) wear all-in-ones. Fewer zips to manage I expect.

Keep an eye on the Lidl catalogues, new items come in here on Thursday and Monday. Might be different where you are but there are queues outside the door at 7.30 when the ski gear comes in here.
Have you looked online at what's coming this week?

My small 4 year old is still wearing his age 2 jacket and ski pants from decathlon - will be his third season. Small children = good value for money. The jacket zips into the ski pants so it's like an all in one when he's skiing but easy to get in and out of for toilet stops.
I know you said you tried decathlon already but I think I saw something similar when I was in last week. May be worth another look?
Have you tried the goggles on with the helmet? DSs would fall off if he wore them on their own but fit fine over his helmet.

We still haven't found ski socks that aren't enormous tho. Please post back if you find any!!

Try little Trekkers for dare2be, trespass and bargains on other international brands.

Mine have skied since just 3 and we've always found kit. I got mittens from Costco, but bought socks from standard offerings. My kids have big feet though. We bought jacket and trousers from the US, but it was small by the time they were 4, we used salopettes and jacket and it was fine.

... skiing for an hour at 4? I don't think so!

I really liked Columbia ski clothes when my kids were teeny. I always bought on eBay though.

Decathalon actually came up trumps this weekend, only thing we couldn't get was an all in one ski suit that zips for a separate jacket but also has adjustable trouser length (dd has short legs for her age).

How many ski trousers do people take for kids for a week?

Siena - the smallest ski socks we found were the really cheap ones in Decathalon (£1.99). They were literally inches smaller in the foot than the other brands in there of the same size.
