What's the smallest size boots you've hired?

Ds is having a couple of hours of skiing per day this year at 3.8 in February.
Trouble is he's only an EU22 shoe right now and not growing fast. That's uk5.5

All the ski hire shops just say they start kit at age 3. I think that will be bigger than EU22 shoe and ds will be devestated if so (he's going to esprit spritelets).
I can't get any answers from esprit or ski shops except that they "have kit for 3yr olds".

Help!!!

My feet are a 3 and dh is a 6 so his midget feet are not a surprise.

Pretty sure dd's feet were around a 20/21 when she first started.

Oh phew! That's good news.

Can't remember exact sizes but my tiny toed DD started at 3 with v tiny boots so should be fine!

Just asked DP who works in a ski shop. Smallest size they do is 24.

It doesn't matter as much in kids if the boots are a little big because they aren't precision skiing.

So I think you'll be fine

Can you look on the Skiset website and see what size they start at?

museumum · 27/10/2016 14:42

octopus the skiset website does ski packages by age at that age, not shoe size (though obviously the boots in the shop must have sizes).

bamboo - thanks. Maybe I should get him some extra thicker socks if I can.

My youngest had just turned 3 when she started and it wasn't an issue. I don't think close fitting ski boots are that necessary at such a young age.

He'll be in them for an hour and not doing any double blacks. Most of the time he'll be standing stock still with his hands on his knees or catching balls or lying in the ground. He'll be fine in slightly too big boots. Grin
