Another ski holiday wish list - help!!!!!!

Our family of four are looking at going on a ski holiday. Only dh and dd1 (10) will be skiing I think. Dd2 will be 3 so maybe she will have a go but I don't think she is ready yet.

Looking at Italy - not too far, fairly family friendly? Alternatives considered.
I need some sort of activity for dd2 - it would be nice for her to mingle with other children, snow play etc.
Clean hotel, probably with catering facility, family friendly
Dd1 at ski school, probably an intermediate slope for dh.

Anyone got any recommendations please, we feel swamped by how much is out there?

Some family friendly resorts with shortish transfers are Portes du Soleil (Chatel, Avoriaz, Morzine) in France, Zell am Zee/obergurgl/san Johann in Austria, most Italian resorts. All have childcare for young children with snow play.
If you are not skiing maybe think about Innsbruck as most ski resorts aren't generally well set up for non-skiers.
If you've got a big budget a kinder hotel might be good.
