Where can I get good old season or second hand skis for DD1?

Apart from eBay! I need skis for her as she's about to join her school's race team (proud mama). They train on plastic so I don't want to buy her new skis for them to be shredded on a dry ski slope. I'm out of ideas as to where to buy, can anyone help?

We bought DSs from Ski Bartlett in Uxbridge. They carry a wide range of ski racing kit, and was one of very few places we were able to pick up skiing kit out of season. We were lucky enough to find that they had a pair of skis with bindings in his size that were being sold quite cheaply.

Like your DD, he's in the school team, and practices each week on the dry ski slope. However, we haven't found that they've been damaged by that - they've been waxed with a harder wax to better equip them to deal with the surface but other than that, they've just dealt with whatever came their way.

As an alternative, if your DDs school has an established ski team, is there a second hand market available internally?
