ski clothes for kids - all in one or separates

This has probably been asked before but which is better for kids? I am imagining disaster scenarios with an all in one snowsuit and trips to the loo, though I'm not sure that salopettes with braces are any better? Advice from old hands please?

Salopettes definitely better - at least only the braces get dragged along the toilet floor....
Also, for lunchtimes it is easier to take the jacket off than sit with half your ski suit around your waist.
Where are you off to? Anywhere nice?

salopettes much better - can take off jacket if need be. Make sure the trousers go up high over the waist.

How exciting! I've not been skiing in Norway but my parents have, many years ago (leaving me with my aunt, who dropped me on my head and only admitted it years later - which explains a lot of things, according to my family ) Have fun!

If you choose salopettes/trousers and jacket make sure the jacket is adjustable to a snug fit around the bottom or has an internal "powder skirt" to popper up with adjustable cuffs and the trousers have a high waist/back and elasticated ankle cuffs - it will stop snow going up the inside and making them wet, especially if sledging or in deeper snow. How old are the children , all in ones suit little ones (under 5's) best, older ones can usually handle both. A jacket can be worn separately around the resort and afterwards too so more practical for the cost.

I think all in ones better for under 5s - less bulky and they can strip down to their thermals for lunch.They are also cheaper. We have never had any accidents in them either. Disadvantage is you can't use it at home really.
