Scottish Resorts this week???

Lecht and Cairngorm open this weekend.

Going to dig out skis from the loft today in the hope Glenshee will be getting going this week.

Any fellow Mumsnetters skiing at home this year? I'm getting married (yay!) so ski holiday will have to wait (boooo!)

I was up cairngorm today. It was fab! Snow is great and it was clear and not windy!

Hello Meanwhile! Just back from an absolutely fantastic day at Glenshee. Similar conditions, lovely snow and minimal queues. I've never been to Cairngorm. Next on the list though.

Nursing my poor old bones with wine and carbonara now. Happy days!

I've never been to Glenshee but have heard it is lovely. We did have queues - the funicular was having technical problems when we arrived

Is there any snow down in aviemore? I want to take the kids sledging on the bit beside the reindeer centre.

Not quite enough snow there for sledging but very icy! If you go up the hill road a wee bit further (but not all the way to the funicular) to the ciste car park there is enough snow there and there is a sledging slope beside the car park.

My dad was at Glenshee yesterday/today & kids & I are going on Saturday!

It's meant to be Alpine conditions - snow, sun & no wind! It's going to be busy though so long walk from carpark!

Dosen't look good for this season as it's very mild

I am hopeful that the cold weather is due to return soon...

Weekend I went was v busy!

Definitely cold and snowing again now. Fingers crossed the wind dies down for the weekend.

I know - problem is the ground wet & soggy not frozen

Lots of snow at glencoe mountain resort. Just came up on my fb feed... going up in half term so watching with keen interest

Anyone know what it's like at glenshee at the mo? Is there anywhere to go sledging there?
