Hi.
Off skiing in January with Ski Espirit, husband and 2 kids.
18month old in nursery 8.30-5.30 but needs outer wear. Can anyone advise if salopettes and jacket better than an all in one please?
Also - 3 year old, does he need 2 sets of gear? He is having lessons in the afternoons and play in the snow in the mornings.
Many thanks. Smile

I wouldn't buy 2 sets. For the lo a one piece would probably be easier. check out Decathlon , H and M and Little Trekkers (online)

Mountain Warehouse are doing kids bundles just now for £60 not sureness small they go but they are not bad.

All in one for the little one, stops the snow sneaking in where it shouldn't!

It should be cold in January so less chance of slush which means your 3 year shouldn't get too wet, that being said at 3 he will spend lots of time on the ground and in the snow so there is a good chance that snow will get down his boots etc etc. If you can borrow a spare set then I would do that rather than fork out on another pair. If you think he is likely to get miserable and unhappy if he gets a bit soggy then make sure you have a spare but if not I'd risk it with one outfit!

All in ones much cosier. You shouldn't need 2 sets of gear - but spare hat/balaclava and gloves would probably be sensible. Check Ebay for bargains in great condition. Also Mountain Warehouse or Muddy Puddles is very good value.

I have used Muddy Puddles before very good quality, didnt choose this year as girls stuff quite masculine,

Try decathlon, littleskiers or littletrekkers, mountain warehouse still have the deal on well in Brighton they do - good quality :)

Thank you all very much.
I will have a look at the suggested web sites and keep looking on EBay. Smile

I had to have 2 sets for DS at 3 as he would have little wee accidents in his trousers still at just 3. I had to wash a set most days otherwise they were smelly...

Onesies easier for littlies although they are a pain for nappies/toilets. Decathlon or mountain warehouse good for starter kit. Good gloves essential! The 3 year old will need a helmet- you can hire but we bought from decathlon.

sleepwhenidie · 18/11/2015 16:35

IME if you are renting skis for DC's then a helmet is usually included in the price - worth checking if you are considering buying Smile

Thank you all.

Have purchased an all in one for Little one and a jacket in the sale from muddy puddles, one pair of salopettes from eBay for older one.
Also got a fab deal in Trespass with last seasons 2 piece £89 reduced to 24.99 plus I had a 10% off voucher.
Got 2 sets as can't bare the thought of older one whinging he is cold or wet! Smile
Looking at forecast this weekend, we may get to try it all out.
