We're off to Courchevel for Xmas this year with our 5 and 3 year old boys.
I'm looking for ideas for Xmas presents to take with us.
What do people generally do?

When we've been skiing at Christmas I generally only take stockings and leave main presents at home. So much less hassle trying to find space. They still get something on X-Mas morning and the rest is something to look forward to after the holiday.

We do the same as Lexatron - stocking presents for the holiday and an note from Father Christmas saying that he's left the main presents at home.

Yep same. Make stocking half edible also so they eat part of it before you come home! Less to carry then. Santa buys ours a new pair of ski socks also so we just take one less pair at the start!

This year we will ski over Xmas with 4 and 5 year old boys so similar ages. Stocking will be something

  • sticker book ( to do over the next few days in chalet)
  • small colouring book and pencils ( more chalet entertainment in evening)
  • pair ski socks
  • satsuma, chocolate reindeer, some nuts ( buy there)
  • x2 schleich Dragons each ( they can play them then, and small enough to go in luggage)
  • x2 Mr men books each ( read there and on plane back)

They will get main gift of matador construction set once home ( wooden So would weigh a ton)
