We've been loads with pre-teens, skied with New Generation in Serre Chevalier 1500 and thoroughly recommend their instructor Gavin Crosby.
www.chamoissiere.co.uk have a lovely apartment just a short walk from the pistes.

I haven't been with a pre teen but we always use New Gen www.skinewgen.com/ski-schools/serre-chevalier who are brilliant.

Great skiing, but my kids haven't had lessons there. Do make sure you go to the baths in Monetier les Bains for some après ski. My boys loved it.

We went a couple of years ago - unfortunately I couldn't really recommend our apartment, v. basic french style, one toilet for 3 bedrooms and no washbasin in that room. We couldn't get into La Chamoisserie as it was full.

There are 3 villages in Serre Chevalier, we stayed in Monetier Les Bains which is the one that new generation are based at - DS had his ski lessons with them and they were ace. They might be able to sort out accomodation for you.

We nearly stayed here www.alliey.com/en/ but opted for the apartment as it had more room and was a bit cheaper. It looked really pleasant and has a swimming pool.

Monetier itself is a lovely wee village with lots of nice restaurants and a good supermarket and butchers.
