Transfer Chamonix- La PLagne

Does anyone have any ideas for doing this journey for less than a small fortune? I've found a very cheap and convenient flight but the transfer would be 3x as much. I only need one way as I'll drive back with DH and DS.

You could probably do a minibus transfer via Geneva airport, bus or train for the Chamonix leg.

I'm an idiot, I mean Chambery airport.

I'm sure I've seen minibus taxi shuttles advertised to all sorts of resorts. Even if you went by rail part of the way then post bus.

Sometimes you can buy a transfer at the airport from holiday reps if there are spaces on their buses. Or get a bus to moutier and try your luck there.

There's a train from Chambery to La Plagne! Think you have to get a bus from airport to train station. Will see if I can find for you...

sncf trains chambery to aime la Plagne you can also get train to Plagne 2000.

Taxi from airport to station is 20 euros and takes 10 mins. Apparently there's a shuttle bus too. more info here.

Thank you so much. The prebooked shuttles were coming in at €200+ But a train is very doable. Now I just need to decide whether it's worth it for half a day on the slopes as DH and DS are driving back on the Saturday. I'm v tempted!
