Geilo in early April?

I have the opportunity to combine a ski trip to Geilo with a work visit to Bergen, but it would be the week after Easter.
I am guessing that given the amount of snow Norway has had so far this year it should be ok, but anyone actually been there that late in the season?

We would be looking at both alpine and cross-country and of course activities for DCs as well.

Tips about accomodation also welcome!

I know a local school is going there again at Easter. Not been myself, but Bergen is lovely (and very very pricey).

I am fortunate enough to have been to Norway a few times with work and indeed Bergen is lovely! I have skiied around Geilo before but mainly cross country and not so late in the season.

Fortunately, the Norwegian kroner has gone down a bit with the oil price recently so it's a (very) little bit cheaper than it was...

Skied in Geilo in April about 5 years ago, plenty of snow (just don't go with Neilson!)
