Harnesses

Sorry another Q re: taking kids for the first time.

I've been looking at a few videos of kids skiing and a number of them seem to be wearing harnesses. What are they for and do I need them? My children are 4 and 6. Will I need to pull them or hold them back?

Thank you

Will you be teaching them?

We had a harness for ds2 when he was 3.5 but that was handier for around town to make sure he didn't slip over. We've never used one of the reign style harnesses.

I imagine they're good for real tinies (say, 3 yr olds) but older kids like your six-year-old, I'm not so sure. I might be tempted to use them somewhere where there were a lot of slopes hanging over cliffs but otherwise.... not sure.

The rigid tip clips are good, though.
