Skiing in Zakopane

I've been to Zakopane but only in in summer and autumn.

The main thing I know is that the ski slopes are privately run so you pay for them individually and that it isn't that great for advanced but I would describe myself as nearly an intermediate!!!

I stayed at the Mercure hotel in Zakopane with my son and enjoyed 5 days ski in ski out on the one long slope there. It was perfect for the almost intermediate that I was then! Fast six man chair with bumpy red, going gradually smoother red into blue and green back to the lift/hotel. We didn't ski anywhere else.
