Buying formula and nappies in Meribel

Hi, my first ever post and it's a bit random...

Has anyone ever bought formula and nappies in Meribel before? I don't really want to lug a load if I can buy it there. Specifically Aptimil.

Thanks!

Yes you can buy both there. It's pricy (tiny supermarket) but I'm still going to do it as don't want to carry any more luggage than we already are!

Sorry, should add that I don't know which brands of formula they sell, but I'm sure your DC won't notice!

You can probably get Milupa which is the French version of Aptamil but it's not cheap. All formula is pricy here so it'a well worth considering whether sticking a tub or two in your luggage isn't worth it. Also if your DC are going to French childcare be aware their bottles will beads up with cold Evian so if (like me) you fundamentally object to that you might want to bring cartons which are nigh on impossible to obtain.

Nappies aren't a problem, but again very expensive.

Thank you, much appreciated! Will see how packing goes and take it from there...

Bearwantsmore, are you going to Meribel too? We're off to Chalet Alba with Esprit and we can't wait! Enjoy :)

Yes Squidge, we are going to chalet Alba too! Not until March though. We went last year and it was great. They have a room you can use for preparing baby bottles, with a microwave, fridge and steriliser etc so that's a great help.

Oh that's good to hear! We're so excited! Going in March too - 16th. If you're there I'll look out for someone who looks like they'd have a user name like bearwantsmore ;)

Have fun! Thanks again x
