Can you recommend a large bag or holdall to take skiing?

I go with DSs aged 9 and 10 so we need bags with wheels as everyone needs to play a part transporting all the Stuff one needs to ski. Previously I have had one big one for me and weekend sized bags for the boys. Now they are getting so big that the Stuff takes up more space.

The bag could also do double duty for the boys to take on school residential trips - DS1 has a week in France in February. So probably a soft sided bag instead of a suitcase, as we need all the help we can get to be at least marginally cool Smile

Finally I have a obsession with recessed wheels, as the ones which are simply stuck on the bottom of a bag are liable to get knocked off by baggage handlers.

I am thinking North Face or similar in the sales. Big but not so big I am tempted to fill it over my baggage allowance!

We have two of these:

Karabars Extra Large 34 Inch Wheeled Holdall

They fit all our stuff for DH, me and two DC for a week's skiing. They're cheap (£15 each), and weigh nothing when empty. They're also surprisingly durable - for that price I expected them to fall apart after one trip, but they haven't so far!

P.S. They're huge, which I know you said you don't want, but you can really get a lot of padded clothing, helmets, boots, etc, inside each one.

Thanks! Will try to work out if that is too big.

Though the thought of getting DSs to do both cases while I saunter around with only a handbag is very tempting....

Mine all have wheeled holdalls from Giraffe Embroidery - they have their names sewn on the side which makes them easy to spot at airports. Used for all family holidays including skiing and school trips.
