Austria, half term?

Thinking about driving to Austria for half term, just me and DD (14). Andy advice re hotels or appartments, ski-in, ski out, with covered parking..? Intermediate ski level, no need for childcare or lessons...TIA!

Somewhere in Vorarlberg/ arlberg maybe as shorter drive? Brand and Montafon come to mind.

What sort of resort - big/small/medium?? Nightlife?

I would go for somewhere off package trail: Maria Alm (altho that's in Salzburgerland I think). Basically anywhere off the pavkage I found it more fruitful to search for appartments on German-language websites e.g.: fewo-direct.de; traum-ferienwohnungen.de or resorts' own websites.

Stay in the Hotel Steigenberger in Bad Reichenhall and ski in Berchtesgarten. Cheaper than the other side of the border.

Or have you considered the Black Forest, which is just over an hour from Strassbourg? Quicker drive and Feldberg is very good for skiing.
