2nd Hand Ski Gear

I'm looking for a pair of kids ski boots (17.5/18). Aside from Ebay and Preloved, is there anywhere else that does second hand ski gear? Do they have anywhere on here?

Wow, that's tiiiiny. Child's size 2?? How old's your child? Are you sure the sizing is right?

TBH i am not sure anyone will make ski boots in that size as children with feet that size are usually much too young to ski.

Ragusa · 18/11/2013 20:42

Hang on, do you mean snow boots??

Piffpaffpoff · 18/11/2013 20:45

Ski boot sizes are different to shoe sizes Rahusa', 17.5 is about a kids size 10 I think.

Gumtree is worth a try and also if you have a local ski club or dry ski slope they may have second hand stuff for sale.

Abzs · 18/11/2013 20:58

That's mondo size 18 OP? Child size 10-11?

Any ski clubs near you that might do a sale day? Ski centre or dry slope with hire kit to sell? Or a noticeboard where people advertise stuff for sale/wanted?

Some shops do trade-in on kids' stuff so would presumably have the second hand ones to sell on.

X-post. Took a while to type balancing tablet and DS...

Ragusa · 18/11/2013 21:22

oops! Course they are. Dunderhead me.

We always rent boots TBH but can see why you might want to buy if yr chikd's likely to be skiing for a whole season. Sorry, I've been absolutely no help at all Grin

DaisyFitz · 19/11/2013 14:13

Thanks everyone. We've got our own gear this year, so not renting anything. (Skiing twice this season) have all bar the boots. She's an 18, and nothing locally. Haven't tried Gumtree.
