Recent experience of Flow bindings?

I need new snowboard bindings as mine are rubbish. My friend used to rave about Flow, but that was years ago. I'm completely bewildered by all the bindings out there. I'm never going to be a brilliant boarder as I am mainly a skier but I find I am using my board for more and more for pootling about with the DC. I find that with the children I am on and off the board a lot, which is why I am thinking of Flow. They don't seem to be nearly as popular as they used to be so I wondered if there was a reason for that.

I could never understand why they were ever popular. Heavy clunky not very adjustable. I believe they're lighter these days but I think there's reason they're not popular

Rome maybe but it's a personal thing and what you find comfortable. Can you demo any at an indoor slope? What board are you riding?

I've got an ancient Burton. I'm not quite sure what it is. The bindings I have are generic ones that I got as a package. I'm not near an indoor slope, unfortunately. I'm definitely not getting a new board as I am only planning to do this until the DC are a bit more independent on skis, then I will be back to my skis full time.

Ahh in that case I need to convince you of a new board boots bindings the lot. Ditch those skis. Seriously though if you're not that worried go for flows if ease of getting them on and off is important. K2 cinch might be worth looking at too. If your board isn't great then new binding will make no difference to your riding so don't spend too much.

Ha ha, thanks! There will be no new board and boots! The main attraction of snowboarding is being able to walk fast in my boots when a child announces they are desperate for the loo! Seriously, my boots were cheap but are so comfortable to get around in when I am off the board. I don't mind paying for great ski stuff as I know I will get use from it, but when it comes to boarding I will just have to make do. My current bindings have started to slip on one toe strap, so they do need replacing, but I'm not really anticipating improving significantly. I will look at the K2, thanks. It really is the quick on and off that is attracting me.
