Are snow conditions still good in the Alps?

Just that really...we are about to book a last minute holiday, and hoping the snow is still good!

Depends whereabouts. We are in La Rosiere at the moment and there has just been another dumping. Good skiing here!! However as we drove up there was not much snow lower down.

We are going to Flaine on Thursday, so fingers crossed.

Got back from Italy yesterday, and you could still ski right down to the valley where we were. Big fall of fresh snow on Thursday night. Obviously places do vary, but if you're going somewhere reasonably high I think you should be fine unless there's a heatwave this week.

We are in Ste-Foy right now and they are great! Even some sun today.

Very sunny now and i think snow will melt fast over the next few days, as it's forecast to be 10-11 degrees every day and no new snow...

Oh no. How high is Ste Foy?

1550 to 2620. Forecast is warm with a bit of rain this week. Conditions are OK at the moment, but can imagine they will be rather pants next week. They do snow cannon a lot, but it's only a sticking plaster over the patches!

Oh well. Fingers crossed Flaine will be OK at the top; it's always slushy at the bottom when we go anyway.

Well, the snow was good, but weather conditions not so. Monday and Tuesday were pretty blizzards, with lots of snow. Anyone skiing in the next few days is in for a treat: lovely snow and empty slopes!
