Anyone know Morzine well?

We are looking well ahead for a catered chalet to sleep 9 adults (4 couples and one single ) and 4 children (8, 5, 3 and very nearly 2 - they will need 2 rooms between them). We won't be going Neil the 2013/14 season due to the age of the youngest child.

We are planning on using BASS for ski lessons, so want the chalet to be as close as possible to the Pleney lift.

Any ideas?

We stayed at Chalet Carving with Simply Morzine a few years back, lovely chalet and very well run. Literally a stones throw from Pleney. But it has 5 bedrooms although very roomy and 3 are decent sized triples and we had a large double with lots of room for our cot so might work although possibly too small. They do have some other chalets so might be worth looking at their website.

Have also stayed with The Mountain Lodge Company in Morzine, they have a bigger chalet although not on Pleney side but they may offer shuttle minibus to it.

The Farmhouse looks fab and is down the road from the Pleney, Chalet George is 200m in the opposite direction.

Amy and Duncan at Treeline are very nice and have a number of properties but I'm not sure of their exact locations.

And finally, Chilly Powder near the Prodain lift into Avoriaz but only if your choice of ski school is not a deal breaker.

Love Morzine but always stay about 2k outside so can't recommend any Chalets in the actual town.

We have friends who own a beautiful, old rustic house just outside Morzine. Its a catered accom through the winter. I can send you a link if you like but as I say, its not in Morzine itself (the nearest lift is the Nyon lift- the house is along that road if anyone knows it)

I'd come across chalet George and chalet carving in my searches and had contacted the companies.

Unfortunately our group has now shrunk in size, so the criteria have changed! We now need a 4 bedroomed chalet so it's back to the searching again!
