4yo One coat or Two??

DP reckons we need to take DS's ski coat in the case and he wears his other warm one down there. I want to save on space in cases- do we need both?

One coat, surely?

I would take a jacket/hoody thing as well, because there will be times when he needs something but not his full ski coat.

Do you have a drying room where you are staying? Will you be going out doing things like sledging in the evening? Is this his first time skiing?

We have always managed with one but always have drying room. Also we pack the ski jacket anyway - hot child in airports is no fun for anyone - and just wear a thick hoodie for the plane.

Yes there's a drying room. Going down on the train this year, weather so crap here I just assumed he'd wear his ski coat to keep warm and dry scuttling from one form of transport to another.

I'll persuade DP just the one coat... Right, what the hell am I packing......

We only ever take one coat. It is always dry when it is needed again.

One coat for us here too.

The chalets are always lovely and warm s things dry quickly if necessary.

We always take two coats each, one for skiing, one for the rest of the time. Nothing worse than having to go out in a wet coat, even if you have a drying room I still want to be able to go out after skiing without having to wait for the coat to dry off. My DS is also inclined to spend a fair bit of time playing in the snow, including lying in it.

2 here as well. Though actually we have gone for an all in one and a two piece. Meaning there should always be something dry to wear.
