Fantastic Scottish Skiing!

Had a brilliant day at the Lecht today.

We took the kids off school (shoot me!) because dh will be away at Christmas and we always take them skiing on Christmas Eve.

It was a beautiful day, and there is plenty of snow :)

Fantastic, I love the Lecht and Glenshee, it's where I learned to board. There are few places as beautiful to ski when you get that perfect combination of fresh snow, sunshine and no queues on the lifts!

We live closer to Cairngorm but can't beat the Lecht for the kids.

It was that perfect combination. The only lift queue was when my 6 year old got lifted into the air by a Poma and tried to hang on and ended up pulling it off the wheel. Oops

Even then it was a very chilled out queue, everyone smiling, relaxed and chatting.

Best blue sky powder day I ever had was Boxing Day 2010 at the Lecht. Fresh tracks all day if you wanted.

We were out at Cairngorm last weekend with touring kit, skinned up into Coire an t-Sneachda then over Cairn Lochan and down Lurcher's Gully. Carried the the skis for about 300m in the whole day (excluding going up Point Five Gully). Skied out and into the car park. Lovely.
