Anyone going to Morzine/Avoriaz over Christmas?

We are heading to Morzine over Christmas and wondered if any MNers were heading in the same direction.

My DH is a better skier than I am (he can ski red to black) - is there anyone out there of a similar level who would like to ski with him? We will be staying in the centre of Morzine, so skiing both the Pleney and Avoriaz side.

Also up for Wine, cheese and [biscuits] if that appeals!

Not over Christmas, we arrive on the 28th.

We are in a group of 40 though so I suspect chaos will reign!

We were there last Christmas, right in the centre of Morzine. It was fabulous.

Unfortunately we're not got over Christmas this year. Next year hopefully! I couldn't help to entertain your DH on the slopes, but could have ably assisted with the cheese and wine!

Have an amazing time, and do shout next year if you're there!!!

We are going again ( for the 4th Christmas running)- previously we stayed with DP's parents in their property in the centre of the resort (near Spar!)- this year however we are staying in their new property which is in Essert Romand- about 3k out of Morzine.

I can't wait.

We went in the summer and I can highly recommend it for a summer holiday also

Have you looked at the forum on Snowheads.com ?

We went to Avoriaz last year and met up with a gang of people from Snowheads one day and got a really good tour of PdS. Lots of people posting on there have property in Morzine and Avoriaz so you'll be sure to find someone for him to ski with.

Enjoy yourselves - it was the best Christmas we've ever had, skiing there last year. I'm cursing the twin horrors of a buggered wrist and family summons that are conspiring to keep me off the slopes until January.
