Would anyone like to share where they went, who with and how they'd rate their ski holiday? I'm already looking forward to next year and DH and I are debating where to go and looking for inspiration!

I'll go first. We went to Les Gets with Ski Famille. Loved the resort - nice town, just over an hour from Geneva, lots of places to eat, shops to browse, decent local ski area ideal for confident intermediates, 360 ski school for DS1 (age 4) was good, lots of wide-open runs to progress to for a beginner, weather was lovely, chalet was walkable to all amenities, snow was good, chalet food was excellent.

Only downsides for us were: we didn't have much in common with the other chalet guests, the playroom was tiny, no car seats on coach transfers, one of the nannies wasn't very good (but the other two were lovely), some of the lifts are old and slow (we went at a quiet time of year it wasn't a problem - in Feb I'm guessing it's an issue), and none of us slept very well because we're used to having more space and doors/corridors between us at night.

Overall, it was a great holiday and DH and I loved being able to go out skiing child and guilt-free! Not sure what we'll do next year, but would definitely consider Les Gets again.

We go to Flaine on Saturday. We have been before and like the size and slopes, but not the appearance of the resort. With the current warm weather, I am also worried about slush! A major plus is that it is drivable in 1 day from UK.

We went to Mayrhofen which has a nice short transfer from Innsbruck. Loved the Mannis hotel with a great open air heated pool on the roof. Town centre is nice to stroll around. Downside is one big lift out of resort in the morning so queues when ski school due to start although you can get a bus a bit further along to another lift.

We just got back from Whistler. Awesome!!! Best powder I have ever skied. It was unbelievable. They are so well set up over there too. Loved it! Grin

we went for 1 week to puy st vincent with snowbizz, which was as ever brilliant, we will probably go next year but we may drive. snow was good, slopes excellent and challenging (for me!) and kids facilities brilliant. if we drive we might spend a second week at serre chevalier or somewhere as an experiment.

We went also for 1 week to La norma with peak retreats and had a truely amazing holiday - possibly more relaxing than snowbizz because we weren't rushing off to kids club each night. Great slopes and snow, lessons were ESF in french so not as good for the kids - they preferred snowbizz i think.

We went to Selva with Esprit in January (to the Marta). Pistes were great: lift links could be a bit better for the lazier of people like me (ie, lots of skis on and off for gondola riding, and carrying skis across roads to get to the next lift). DD loves going with Esprit (this was our second time) - loves the lessons, the snow club and the cocoa club.

Accommodation was typical Esprit standard (2-3 star) but the food was fine (not cordon blu). You had to make sure you got into the shower early or there would be no hot water left. Chalet was noisy as the stairwell was open and the sound would carry up from the lounge area to the bedrooms above.

Transfer is from Innsbruck which is great when it works. Unfortunately we went the weekend of the bad snow at Innsbruck so we were diverted to Freidrichshaven in Germany which then turned out to be a 4 hour transfer to Selva which was a bit painful. The return transfer was fine though.

We have booked for next year already: we are off to Val d'Isere with Esprit.

We went to Courchevel 1650 Christmas week, stayed in catered chalet with Ski Olympic. Chalet ok, not fab but a very good week overall. Ski Olympic team mostly good, especially our chef/main host and ski guides. Chalet was further from lifts/piste than we like to be and a bit basic.

We try to only go to places where BASS has classes as we have found them to be the best and they lived up to expectations, both DC progressed well, felt challenged and loved it. Conditions the week we were there were outstanding so we had very good skiing.

I've skied Ischgl, Obergurgl, Solden, Davos, Valmorel this year All great - Val morel was a big surprise. Davos great off-piste. Solden and Ischgl party towns. Obergurgl perfect for families.

We did courchevel 1850 with esprit. Brilliant week. Location cannot be topped - on the piste. Brilliant child care set up. Great food, especially the afternoon teas. Could not fault it and would do it again were it not for the price!

We are looking at a DIY ski trip next year and research is showing we can knock over a grand off the espirit price.

We went to Saas Fee with Family Ski Company. Amazing week, excellent food, childcare & skiing - as well as excellent weather - most relaxing ski holiday with kids to date - truely blessed!

Would recommend Family Ski Company if travelling with kids - we have also been to Ardent with them, and are booked for Les Coches this year - their childcare is second to none, enthusiastic carers, and ski school helpers for the little ones so no worries for us - all topped off with excellent food, free flowing wine and a very relaxed style to make for a great holiday for all.
