Hi Skiiers
We had a great week last Easter 2011 in Obergurgl - good snow despite the very late Easter and rubbish 2011 season. So thought we would go there again for Easter 2013 !
But accomodation is so expensive there - especially with a family of 5. Even 2 bed self catering apartment is nearly 2000 Euros ! So thought I would look at Solden down the valley which is still a fairly high resort but seems to have cheaper accomodation.
Has anyone stayed there and used the kids ski school ? Needed for DD 5 and DS 8. DS 12 now just skis with us.
Could anyone recommend a self catering apartment near the slopes / ski school? Hate buses all working in ski boots !
Or a hotel that won't break the bank ?
Will be driving to economise !
BTW - don't feel to sorry for me - we have to economise so that we can go skiing twice a year !
Thank you

totally different resort to Obergurgl - its a party town and not great for kids. Can be a schlep to the lifts depending on location. If kids need group ski school don't do it - you wont get many (if any) British children here. Piste skiing is far more challenegingthan Obergurgl too. Great trip if you are a couple or group of friends wanting to ski and pary hard (lap dancing bars on main street etc) but not really ideal for families.
