Taking Monitors to Esprit (bigger) Chalet

We're off to Obergurgl on Sunday and I know the staff sit in the corridor while we have dinner, but I'm taking GPs who're in a room on the floor below us. Is it outrageous to think they could have a monitor in their room if we want to stay downstairs/go out after 10:30pm?

Is it okay to take monitors, or not?

Help!

It is fine to take monitors IMO. Which chalet in Obergurgl are you going to?

Bear in mind others will do the same and you can get interference (or be able to eavesdrop on other rooms ! ) or you may find that frequency isn't suitable.

@ ujjayi - Alpenblume. Am soooo looking forward to it.

@ Lizs - hahaha, yes we had that at a friends at New Year. Only two families took their monitors and we both had exactly the same BT monitors. :)

Thanks for your replies!

You'll be there already DaisyFitz but just in case you pick this up - have a fab time! We stayed at Verwall - didn't like the chalet but the skiing was great - particularly in Hochgurgl (15 mins by bus).

Do come back and report on Alpenblume. I would like to go back to Obergurgl but not Verwall so am interested to know how you get on :) .

I just saw this! :)

Alpenblume... it was okay. Rooms were spacious, esp the ones that took three people. The Verwall has a much better location and I didn't see inside it, but I expect they're much of a muchness. Interestingly, I think we're going to try and get in the Verwall next year.
Chalet was okay in a get what you pay for style. Fine for us. We stayed in the Bellevue a few years ago (Before Child) - that's lovely and has a fab pool. Prob cost the same as going with Esprit but the childcare with Esprit makes all the difference.
Childcare staff were beyond awesome. The chalet staff less so - they didn't rock up on the Tuesday am to make breakfast. The area manager couldn't apologise enough. Hardly the end of the world though.

We had a great time and will go again next year so DD has some familiarity.
