We are treating ourselves to our first ski holiday in years next year. We will be 3 families with children ranging between 4 and 11 and would like a catered chalet with plenty of living space - we are looking at half term or the end of March.
so...
1 - Any chalet recommendations - need to be near to lifts so we don't have little ones having to walk a long way
2 - Is it better to book independently or with a package - I see ski famille seem popular there but as we don't need proper childcare as the children will ski or be looked after us in the afternoon it may not be necessary?
3 - if you fly to Geneva what is the best way to get to the resort? -
4 - Has anyone driven out there can you give me a cost to do so?

Any tips gratefully received

Can help a bit, Les Gets is great for families and some lovely skiing and views. You can book yourself, if you fly to Geneva and book a chalet, the chalet will probably have a recommended transfer service. However from posts on here it might be worth pricing up an all inclusive package as then you don't have the hassle factor? Most chalets will help you book all the other stuff so perhaps start from there.

Driving is about 8 hours (depends on your stops and avoiding Sat peak time) from Calais to Les Gets in good conditions, costs about 75 euros each way in tolls plus petrol and Eurostar/ferry. Personally we prefer it as it is often quicker than flying and we have a car when we get there but if you are central in Les Gets you won't need transport.

Hope this helps a bit and enjoy!
