I'm excited. I didn't think I'd be well enough to go but physio gave me the green light this morning. So raced home and booked. Bit limited on resort choices due to leaving it so late. We went to val d'isere last year and it's not my favourite resort but it's fine and it's skiing.
The town is nice and it's got a lovely swimming pool as well so it's good.

Sounds good all counts - green light from physio and skiing :)

Who are you going with? Esprit?

tiredemma · 28/11/2011 13:27

We are going to Morzine in Jan. Im shit at skiing but enjoy seeing the kids have a good time (whilst I drink Vin Chaud)

Have a great time!

Morzine is nice, first place I went skiing. Well boarding actually, didn't bother with lessons and I have a painful memory of jumping off a chair lift too early on the first morning as I was very clueless.

Yes, were going with esprit. We always end up going with them even though every year we say we ought to try another outfit. Not that we've ever had major problems with them, few small niggles, etc. But they're fine. And they have wifi in the hotel so I can MN if too knackered to ski in the afternoon.

Ha - we always say the same too about Esprit and finally this season we have bitten the bullet and booked self catering in Belle Plagne. I am really looking forward to the freedom and privacy of it even though I will be doing a lot more than I would usually do on a ski holiday.

Yeah, I really couldn't stand the thought of having to cook after skiing all day. I guess you could go out to eat but it's so expensive now to eat out that it's quicker to go with esprit.

We looked at it last year but by the time we'd paid for everything it was going to be more expensive than going with esprit, so we went with them again!
