Esprit - Spritelets and SnowClub... How does it work?

First time skiing with DD (3+9m when we go). Looking to go with Esprit and we'd like her to play in the snow park, so the 2hr Spritelets 'ski' classes seems perfect. But I think (despite us taking GPs - God, help me) she'll need more to do for the rest of the day so was also considering the Snow Club. But here I get confused.
Does Snow Club cover the bits of the afternoon that Spritelets doesn't or does it cover the morning? I'm finding the Esprit brochure a bit confusing on this.

Thanks!
Cx

We have been with Esprit a couple of times. Mine have done snow club in the morning, followed by supervised lunch. They then did Spritelets in the afternoon as a bit warmer for the little ones in the snow garden in the afternoon. May vary by resort. Give Esprit a call and they will clarify.

If you book sprite lets and snow club it will cover from 8:00am till 6:00pm if you do the supervised lunch as well.

It did go to lessons in the afternoon and snow club in the morning but last year in val disere I noticed even the little ones seemed to be going to lessons in the morning. Could be wrong though.

Ah, thanks so much for your replies. That's how I'd hoped it would work (they do say they swap Spritelets to am/pm dependant on weather etc).

I'd like to pull DD out to have lunch with us - do Esprit mind that? Also... at Snow Club, is it all out doors play, or some indoors?

Oh, and do they have to be there at 8? Or can you drop them off when you want? (within reason?)

You could take her out for lunch, wouldn't be a problem I'm sure.

Snow club is a mix of indoor and outdoor. Mainly indoor ime but if weather is good they go out most afternoons. Maybe a walk in the snow, snowball fight, bum boarding. Then indoors they do painting, crafts, there's normally a book corner, sing songs. At the end of the week I think they put some sort of show on so practice for that.

If lessons are in the morning then they really need to be there at eight. If lessons are in the afternoon then you have a bit more leeway, but if it's snow club they may have gone out and about and you can't find them.

That makes sense - thank you so much for letting me know. Cx

No problem. Have a good holiday.

We've always left DCs at Snow Club around 845-9am even when they've had a morning class. That was in Obergurgl, Belle Plagne and Les Arcs.

Am sure taking out for lunch will be fine but be mindful that they usually like all children back together by a specific time in case they are planning on taking them out in the afternoon eg for walk or bum boarding etc.

Which resort are you considering OP?

VivaLeBeaver · 28/11/2011 14:46

Belle plagne is slightly different as the ski instructors come to the back door of the chalet for 9:00am. Most other resorts the kids have to walk up to a meeting point which takes time with little ones.

We've just booked to go back to val d'isere with esprit.

@ ujjayi - Obergurgl. We've been before (when I was 6m pregnant) and I loved the kids snow play/park area. It's a nice resort and suitable for teh GPs. Which chalet did you stay in?

Verwall. It was ok. Very basic and the sitting room on the top floor is very, erm, cosy! Snow club located in basement. A short walk to main ski area or bus to Hochgurgl.

Have spoken to Esprit today, and it's fine to take DD out for lunch. Just have to get her back for the Spritelets in the afternoon.

Although, as it turns out, no Spritelets available the week we want to go. But I've spoken to the ski school who run the play park thing Esprit use and they say to just come on the day and book her in. No pre-book available so not a problem. And if she doesn't do everyday, it doesn't matter.
