budget ski holiday for students?

i want to pay for a suprise ski trip for ds and a friend early next year but need it to be as cheap as possible, any ideas of who to book with? where to go etc?(am getting some money from an insurance policy and we will be having a holiday without ds, so want to treat him as well)

Most main resorts will have youth hostels. You should be able to book budget flights with the likes of Easyjet, bus/train transfer and then book one direct.
